Bulgaria Erasmus+ Experience

April 13, 2026

Hello everyone,

I am Nisanur Yücetürk. Some experiences are short but their effect lasts a long time. The week I spent in Madan was exactly that for me.

Before joining the project, all I had in mind was seeing a new country and meeting different people. But once I was there I realised I was living something far beyond that. Learning something new every day, meeting different ideas and discussing them together gave me a completely new perspective.

Time in Madan

Being in the same space as people from other countries felt a little unfamiliar at first, but strong communication grew between us very quickly. Even though language, culture and habits differed, seeing that we could meet on common ground was genuinely striking.

The time we spent together, our conversations and the moments we shared made the experience far more meaningful. It was not only a training process but a special experience in which we learned to understand each other and built a strong bond across our differences.

What the Project Gave Me

The experience gave me a great deal not only academically or socially but personally. I began to feel more comfortable expressing myself, became more open to different ideas and grew in confidence about adapting to new environments.

We do not always think a short experience can leave such a deep mark. But that week taught me a lot, both about myself and about the world. Being able to look at things from different angles, finding common ground with new people and feeling braver meant a great deal to me.

Leaving, and What Stayed

One of the most surprising things was how fast the time went. Realising it was all over just as it felt like it had begun was strange. When the moment came to leave there was an emptiness in me, because leaving was much harder than I expected.

My time in Madan gave me not only good memories but experiences whose value I will never forget. The journey gave me the chance to touch other people’s lives, and to let them touch mine.

Final Word

What I left behind was not just a place but very valuable feelings and bonds. Madan will always be special to me, and it remains one of the places I cannot wait to return to.
