An Unforgettable Erasmus+ Experience in Kilis

Hello, I am Miraç Mustafa KARABAŞ.

I joined the “No More Walls, Europe Calls” Erasmus+ youth exchange project in Kilis through KOZ-DER. For me, this project was a wonderful experience where I met people from different countries, learned new things and improved myself in many ways.

Learning and Creating Together

During the project, we took part in various activities, group work sessions and workshops together with young people from different countries. While spending time together, we had the opportunity to get to know each other’s cultures, share our ideas and discover different perspectives.

Throughout the project, we did not only participate in activities, but also carried out many tasks as a team. Listening to different people’s ideas and producing a common outcome in each activity was an important experience for me.

Working in the same team with people from different countries contributed a lot to my communication skills, teamwork abilities and self-expression. In addition, I made new friendships thanks to the project. Building beautiful memories with people from different countries in such a short time was one of the most special parts of this Erasmus+ experience for me.

What It Meant to Me

“No More Walls, Europe Calls” was not just a youth exchange project that I joined. Coming together with people from different cultures, listening to their stories and spending time with them broadened my perspective on the world. Sharing the same environment with people I had never met before and working together gave me new experiences.

During this process, I once again saw how valuable solidarity, sharing and acting together really are.

A Beautiful Farewell

Before I realised it, the day of departure arrived. While leaving Kilis, I felt the sadness of both leaving behind a beautiful experience and saying goodbye to the people I had just met. Because throughout the project, we did not only attend activities; we laughed together, talked together, learned together and created many beautiful memories.

Some people enter your life only for a short time, but the memories they leave behind stay with you for a long time. This project was exactly that kind of experience for me.

I would like to sincerely thank the KOZ-DER team for making me part of this beautiful experience, my dear Halil ÖZKARACA for guiding us throughout the project and always making us feel his support, the whole project team who made this process more meaningful and beautiful for me, and all my friends who shared this experience with me.

For me, “No More Walls, Europe Calls” will remain not only a youth exchange project, but also a special Erasmus+ experience full of beautiful memories and friendships that I will remember throughout my life.
