My Erasmus+ Experience in Madan
The Erasmus+ project I joined in Madan, Bulgaria was not simply a training activity for me: it was a special period in which I got to know other cultures, gained new perspectives and collected valuable experience.
Learning and Experiencing Together
The training and non-formal learning activities throughout the project meant we did not learn the topics only in theory: we discussed them, experienced them and worked through them together.
Sharing a working space with participants from other countries was genuinely instructive, giving me a close view of different ideas and ways of living.
Even though our cultures, languages and habits differed, seeing how easily we could come together around shared values was one of the most valuable parts of the experience.
The Support of KOZ-DER and the Hosting Organisation
I would particularly like to mention the contribution of both the hosting organisation and our sending organisation, KOZ-DER.
The care KOZ-DER showed in briefing, preparing and guiding us from before the project began meant we took part far more consciously and with better preparation.
In Madan, the hosting organisation’s warm approach, careful planning and close attention to participants helped us feel part of the project very quickly.
Intercultural Exchange
One of the most important things I gained was the chance to communicate directly and work with people from other cultures.
Seeing people from different countries generating ideas around the same table, trying to understand each other and producing work together showed once again what a powerful learning tool intercultural exchange is.
What I Took from Madan
I left Madan not only with new knowledge but with new friendships, good memories and a wider view of other cultures.
I saw for myself that Erasmus+ programmes offer valuable opportunities that bring people together, reduce prejudice and carry learning beyond borders.

Thank you to our hosting organisation, to our sending organisation KOZ-DER whose support was felt at every stage, to the project team and to all the fellow participants with whom we collected unforgettable memories.
This experience will always hold a special place in my life.
