An Unforgettable Erasmus+ Experience in Madan

Hello, I am Eda Nur KEÇECİ.

Through KOZ-DER, I took part in the Erasmus+ project “Don’t Just Scroll, Take Control”, which was held in the charming and nature-filled town of Madan, Bulgaria between 12 and 22 August 2026.

I spent 10 wonderful days there. At the end of this intense and enjoyable process, I returned to my country with beautiful memories, a broader perspective, stronger friendships and valuable cultural experiences.

Social Media Awareness and New Opportunities

During the workshops focused on the digital world and social media use, we had a very productive experience both theoretically and practically.

While increasing our awareness of screen time management and digital literacy, we also had the opportunity to learn more about ESC (European Solidarity Corps) and Erasmus+ projects, discovering new youth opportunities for the future.

Discovery, Fun and Cultural Sharing

The project was not limited to indoor workshops. Discovering the atmosphere and nature of Madan made the experience even more special.

Through the City Hunting activity, we explored the town step by step and became more connected with the local culture. Nature walks also helped us refresh ourselves and share enjoyable moments with friends from different countries.

One of the sweetest surprises of the project was our trip to the neighbouring country, Greece. We visited Alexandroupoli and had a wonderful city tour. Spending time by the sea and discovering the historical and cultural atmosphere of the city added a special colour and joy to our project.

Personal Development and Friendships

Sharing the same environment with young people from different cultures, working towards a common goal and communicating with one another contributed greatly to my personal development.

These 10 days, filled with broken prejudices, intercultural bridges and sincere friendships, gave me not only a training experience but also a vision that I will never forget.
