Youth, Justice and Equality: Learning Together in Madan

Hello, I am Dilay Arapoğlu. Through KOZ-DER I took part in the training course “Rights Matter, Justice Counts”, held in Madan, Bulgaria between 13 and 19 July 2026 — an unforgettable Erasmus+ experience.

It was my first international project, and I had been looking forward to it with great excitement since the moment I applied. At the end of an intense week I came home not only with new knowledge, but with a wider outlook, strong friendships across cultures and wonderful memories.

A Shared Awareness of Rights and Justice

Throughout the course we took part in interactive workshops focused on human rights, justice and equality. Discussing these ideas with participants from other parts of the world, we were able to learn from each society’s own experience.

Through group work and practical activities we did not leave what we learned in theory but put it into practice. The process enriched our perspective while also developing our teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.

Where Cultures Meet

One of the most enjoyable parts of the project was sharing a space with young people from very different cultures. Culture nights and social activities let us get to know each other better, and we formed strong bonds quickly.

Madan’s peaceful atmosphere, the hospitality of local people and the natural beauty around it made the journey even more special.

Thank You

I am delighted that my first Erasmus+ experience was this productive and inspiring. My sincere thanks to KOZ-DER, who supported me from the moment I applied, to the organising team and to all the participants who made this experience what it was.
