White Rainbow — Erasmus+ Training Course

KOZ-DER is pleased to share a new international learning opportunity for youth workers.

White Rainbow is an international Erasmus+ Training Course taking place in Sărata Monteoru and Buzău, Romania, from 4 to 13 December 2026.

The project is organised by FPT Buzău and focuses on equipping youth workers with practical methods, tools and non-formal education approaches that can be used to promote the well-being of young people.

The project is expected to bring together approximately 34 youth workers, youth leaders and project coordinators, together with 4 experts. Participants should be aged 20 or above.

Aim of the Project

The main aim of White Rainbow is to provide youth workers with knowledge and practical tools that they can use when working with young people on well-being, healthy and active lifestyles, self-awareness and addiction prevention.

The training course also aims to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to create more supportive and inclusive environments for young people.

The project will approach well-being at several different levels:

• emotional well-being,
• mental well-being,
• physical well-being,
• social well-being,
• financial well-being,
• digital well-being.

What Will We Work On?

During the training course, participants will explore non-formal education tools for promoting well-being among young people, develop methods that encourage healthy and active lifestyles and work on approaches related to self-awareness and addiction prevention.

The project will also provide an opportunity for youth workers from different countries to exchange experiences, methods and good practices.

Participants will work together on strategies for creating inclusive and supportive youth environments.

As final project outputs, participants are expected to develop forum theatre performances, videos and a magazine promoting well-being.

Participant Profile

Participants are expected to:

• be aged 20 or above,
• be interested or actively involved in youth work,
• participate actively throughout the entire training programme,
• be open to intercultural learning,
• take part in group activities,
• contribute to dissemination activities after the project.

The project is expected to bring together 34 youth workers, youth leaders and project coordinators plus 4 experts.

A total of 17 partner countries is planned, although the participating countries are still to be defined.

Preparation Before the Project

Before arriving, participants are expected to prepare a short overview of the situation regarding well-being, lifestyle and addictions in their region or country.

Participants are also encouraged to propose games, energisers and activities that could be used during workshops or free time.

For the intercultural evening, participants should bring traditional food or drinks from their country and be ready to share a song or teach a traditional dance.

As the organisers aim to reduce plastic consumption, participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle and coffee or tea cup.

Accommodation

During the first part of the project, participants will stay at Casa cu Tei Pension in Sărata Monteoru.

Accommodation will be provided in twin rooms with private bathrooms. Towels, soap and bed linen will be provided.

Laundry and ironing services are not available.

For the final two nights, participants will stay at Hotel Sport B90 in Buzău, in rooms for two or three people with private bathrooms.

Food

Participants will receive:

• 3 meals every day
• 2 coffee breaks every day

throughout the project.

Transport

Depending on the arrival times of the national teams, the organisers plan to arrange a private bus transfer from Bucharest Otopeni Airport to Sărata Monteoru on the arrival day.

The transfer is expected to leave at approximately 18:00, so participants are advised to choose travel options that arrive in Bucharest earlier.

Travelling independently to Sărata Monteoru is also possible, although the organisers note that this option is more complicated.

Travel Reimbursement

Travel costs will be reimbursed after the project based on actual eligible costs within the maximum Erasmus+ distance-band limits.

The maximum travel reimbursement amounts indicated in the infopack are:

• 100–499 km: €211 / €285 green travel
• 500–1999 km: €309 / €417 green travel
• 2000–2999 km: €395 / €535 green travel

Participants must keep all bus, train, ferry and flight tickets and relevant invoices.

For flights, boarding passes are compulsory. Participants using mobile check-in may provide a screenshot.

Airport check-in and additional luggage costs are not eligible for reimbursement when free online options are available.

Taxi, Uber, Bolt and similar costs are generally not eligible unless there is an exceptional situation where public transport is unavailable.

Green Travel

Travel may qualify as green travel when more than half of the journey is completed by lower-emission transport such as bus or train.

Teams planning to use green travel should inform the organisers approximately one month in advance.

Important Rules

Participants will live and work in an intercultural environment and are expected to respect different cultures and demonstrate tolerance.

Drugs are strictly prohibited.

Alcohol may only be consumed responsibly after the daily activities and in accordance with the relevant national laws concerning age.

All participants are expected to attend and actively participate in all training activities and the dissemination phase.

Weather

Weather conditions in December can be unpredictable.

Daytime temperatures are usually around 5–10°C, while temperatures at night may be around 0°C.

Rain, snow and colder weather are also possible, so participants are advised to bring appropriate winter clothing.

Youthpass

All participants will receive a Youthpass certificate.

Youthpass helps recognise and reflect on the knowledge, skills and learning outcomes gained through Erasmus+ activities.
