KOZ-DER is Looking for Volunteers

About the Call

At KOZ-DER we want to build stronger projects with the ideas, energy and commitment of young people. We are looking for volunteers who want to create alongside us, take responsibility and gain experience in civil society through our Erasmus+ and youth work activities.

This call is for young people who want to contribute in social media, project writing, project management, event organisation, partner communication, design, technology and innovation.

As a KOZ-DER volunteer you do not simply support a piece of work: you gain real experience of Erasmus+, the European Solidarity Corps, youth projects, local events and international work.

Core Activities

• Supporting KOZ-DER’s social media and visibility work
• Contributing to the development of project ideas
• Supporting project writing for Erasmus+ and youth projects
• Taking part in project management, planning and delivery
• Helping prepare, announce and run events
• Supporting communication and cooperation with partner organisations
• Producing design work: posters, social media visuals and digital content
• Contributing in technology, web, digital solutions and innovation

Volunteer Roles

You can choose up to two roles in the application form. Hours are estimates; we adjust them together around exams and holidays.

• Social media and content · 2–3 hours a week · online
  Collecting event photos, writing short texts and videos, keeping to the posting calendar.

• Event support · 3–4 hours per event · Kilis
  Welcome, set-up and attendance lists at the Speaking Club, mind games and coding workshops.

• Training and workshops · 2 hours a week · Kilis or online
  Sharing something you know (games, coding, a language, design) with small groups of young people.

• Translation and international communication · 1–2 hours a week · online
  Correspondence with partner organisations, English versions of announcements, summarising info packs.

• Project development and writing · 3–4 hours a week · online
  Supporting needs analyses, activity plans and budget tables for Erasmus+ and ESC applications.

• Design and technology · project-based · online
  Posters, presentations and social media visuals; technical help with the website and digital tools.

Who Can Apply

This call is open to young people who want to contribute to KOZ-DER’s work, can take responsibility, work well in a team and want an active role in the youth field.

Applicants should be willing to volunteer, open in communication, keen to create and interested in gaining experience in civil society.

We especially welcome applications from candidates with interest or experience in social media, project writing, project management, design, technology, event organisation and communication.

First Steps

1. Fill in the form. Tell us which roles interest you and how many hours a week you can give.
2. Introductory call. After reviewing applications we contact you for a short conversation.
3. First task. You start with a small task alongside an experienced volunteer in your role.
4. Check-in. At the end of your first month we talk about how it went and settle your role.

Volunteers in Kilis can take part in local events; volunteers in other cities can take on online roles.

Expected Outcomes

• KOZ-DER’s volunteer network is strengthened
• Young people gain experience in Erasmus+ and youth work
• Work is produced in social media, project writing, design and technology
• Active volunteer support in events and projects increases
• KOZ-DER’s local, national and international visibility grows
• Volunteers develop communication, teamwork, responsibility and creative skills
