About the Project

KOZ-DER Go to Italy 6 is a short-term ESC volunteering project taking place in Treviso, Italy between 15.06.2026 and 31.07.2026. It is an education-based placement working with children and young people, in which volunteers support teachers in the classroom as teaching assistants.

Volunteers run English activities, game-based learning, creative workshops and intercultural exchange, mainly with primary school children. The role is not that of a formal teacher: it is a supporting one, built around classroom help, interactive learning and letting children experience English in a more natural and enjoyable way.

Core Activities

• Preparing and running English activities for primary school pupils
• Supporting teachers in the classroom as a teaching assistant
• Contributing to learning through games, stories, songs and creative materials
• Supporting pronunciation, vocabulary and basic speaking skills
• Helping prepare classroom visuals, worksheets and simple learning aids
• Running creative workshops, drama, storytelling and group work
• Organising activities where volunteers can share their own culture with the children
• Where appropriate, contributing to intelligence games, educational group work and robotics and coding activities

Participant Profile

The project suits volunteers who want to work with children, can take an active role in an educational setting, communicate well and think creatively. A willingness to make English fun and understandable for children is a real advantage.

Participants are expected to be responsible, open to teamwork, able to work well in an intercultural environment and comfortable taking a supporting role in a school. Candidates with experience in non-formal education, running activities for children, intelligence games, robotics and coding, creative drama, group games or similar educational work are at a particular advantage.

Accommodation and Meals

Volunteers stay in a shared flat in or near Treviso, provided by the organisation or local partners. The accommodation is new, well kept and equipped for everyday living, with a kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, Wi-Fi and basic furniture. Living together is treated as an important part of the learning: it builds cultural exchange and everyday life skills.

Meals and daily living are supported under ESC rules.

Travel Support

Travel is arranged in line with ESC rules. Please plan transport and travel support according to the organisation’s guidance, and read the info pack carefully before applying.

Pocket Money and Support

Volunteers receive the support provided for under ESC rules. Mentoring, organisational support, help settling in locally, training planning and day-to-day guidance are also provided. Participants receive a Youthpass certificate at the end of the project.
