Highlights from the Civil Voices Festival and Ankara Volunteer Meetup
KOZ-DER took part in the Civil Voices Festival in Ankara, meeting our volunteers, young people and participants interested in civil society. At our stand we introduced KOZ-DER’s international projects, volunteering opportunities and the ESC and Erasmus+ processes.
Throughout the event we had the chance to meet volunteers who have taken part in our projects. While our volunteers shared their own experiences, prospective volunteers were able to ask directly about application processes, project content and European opportunities.
What We Did at the Festival
- Introduced the international projects KOZ-DER runs
- Gave information about ESC and Erasmus+ opportunities
- Explained volunteering processes and application steps
- Met volunteers who have taken part in projects before
- Met prospective volunteers
- Talked about project experiences
- Made connections with other organisations and people working in civil society
Meeting Our Volunteers
The Civil Voices Festival was not only a place to introduce our work: it was a warm, informal setting in which we came back together with our volunteers. Volunteers who have joined ESC and Erasmus+ projects in different countries shared their journeys and what those projects gave them.
The meet-up strengthened our bond with former volunteers and created a space for experiences that will inspire new ones.
KOZ-DER at the Civil Voices Festival
Throughout the festival we were able to introduce our work in youth participation, volunteering, intercultural learning and international mobility to a wider audience. We shared information about ESC, Erasmus+ and youth projects with everyone who visited our stand.
This gathering in Ankara was valuable for us in spreading a culture of volunteering and increasing young people’s access to international opportunities.
Thank you to all the volunteers who joined us, to the young people who visited our stand and to everyone who worked on the Civil Voices Festival.
We hope to meet again in new cities, with new volunteers and new stories.
More to Come
Our meet-ups in other cities will continue. Follow our announcements and events page for what is coming next.
