Cultures of Four Countries Came Together in Kilis within the No More Walls, Europe Calls Project

Within the scope of Erasmus+, the No More Walls, Europe Calls Youth Exchange Project, carried out in Kilis in cooperation with KOZ-DER and hosted by Kilis 7 Aralık University, brought together 25 participants from four countries during a cultural night.

The cultural night and traditional sıra night, held at Yaren Taş Mekânlar, were hosted by Kilis Municipality. During the programme, the teams from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Georgia introduced the prominent features, traditions and cultural values of their countries and shared information about their cultures with the participants. With the sharing of country-specific foods, different cultures came together around the same table.

The Cultural Richness of Türkiye and Kilis Was Introduced

Following the presentations of the guest countries, the Türkiye team introduced the cultural richness of our country and Kilis. In the continuation of the programme, participants enjoyed pleasant moments during the sıra night with traditional music, local melodies and cultural activities.

The night, which brought together young people from four different countries around common values, contributed to strengthening intercultural learning, reducing prejudices and building new friendships among young people. The project’s message, “Let’s build friendships, not walls,” came to life once again during the cultural night.
